I think I’m going to retire “The librarian from the Black Lagoon.” Unless kids are familiar with the series, it falls flat as a read aloud. Maybe it’s because we’ve had library classes for 15 years, but kids just aren’t anxious about going to the library and don’t appreciate the humor that’s based on the fear.
Next year try “Cinderella Skeleton”
